KSANG, NA is a non-profit association established for the promotion of educational and charitable programs within the meaning of section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Association primarily aims to promote the image and wellbeing of Kwarans, friends of Kwarans and Nigerians residing in the North America including Canada; it accomplishes this by getting involved in its immediate communities through community and volunteer programs, promoting understanding amongst Kwarans at home and abroad, initiating and encouraging community projects, agitating for a responsible government in Kwara state, and involvement in acts that promote the unity of Nigerians all over the world. KSANG build cordial relationships among all people, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation or national origin, and develop good citizenry in the communities of our domicile.
Over the past years, KSANG has embarked on a variety of community projects, in North America and Nigeria, to improve the living conditions of the local communities through provision of medical supplies to hospitals and clinics, books and stationeries to public schools, improvements of public school facilities, while building sisterhood relationship with institution of higher learning for technology transfers. Of late, we have focused more specifically on education and primary/preventive healthcare.
One of our immediate education project is to increase our efforts by collaborating with Gallaudet University, Washington DC, to establish continuing education relationship and to provide educational support for Ilorin School of Handicap, by revamping its curriculum. KSANG seeks support to help the school meet some of their basic needs and learning tools.
In 2014, KSANG in collaboration with Moses Lake Medical team (MLMT) conducted a medical mission to Kwara state of Nigeria. The medical mission took place at Sobi Specialist Hospital where we treated about 4000 patients, about 40 patients had surgical procedures done, and the team dispensed about 16,000 prescriptions. KSANG team also gave the State Government about $100,000 worth of retail value of drugs and medical supplies to be distributed to all local clinics and community health centers throughout the state.
KSANG continues to seek your generous support to improve the hopes and dreams of our communities.
